At AXA PPP International we believe that cover for in-patient and day-patient treatments plus emergency evacuation and repatriation are the key elements in any international private medical insurance. That’s why all these vital benefits are automatically included in all of our plans.

With our Standard Plan we provide cover for necessary treatment of new medical
conditions.

This service is provided by an independent partner and guarantees impartial advice on the most appropriate treatment plan.

Hormone replacement therapy
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) only when it is medically indicated for the treatment of menopause resulting from medical intervention, when we will pay for the medical practitioner’s consultations and for the cost of the implants (but not patches or tablets). Pregnancy complications
Cover for the following complications during pregnancy:
• ectopic pregnancy (where the foetus is growing outside the womb)
• hydatidiform mole (abnormal cell growth in the womb)
• retained placenta (afterbirth retained in the womb)
• placenta praevia
• eclampsia (a coma or seizure during pregnancy and following pre-eclampsia)
• diabetes (if you have exclusions because of your past medical history which relate to diabetes, then you will not be covered for any treatment for diabetes during pregnancy)
• post partum haemorrhage (heavy bleeding in the hours and days immediately after childbirth)
• miscarriage requiring immediate surgical treatment
• failure to progress in labour

In-patient rehabilitation up to 28 days when an integral part of treatment - certain conditions apply, all cost are required to be pre-authorised. We will extend in-patient rehabilitation to a maximum of 180 days in cases of severe central nervous system damage caused by an external trauma
